4/2 Self Aware in Art

What is it that makes a sonnet?
A question for the age;
Is it merely a once-blank page
With rhyming stanzas on it?

What is it that makes art?
The critics don’t agree
If it comes from what we see
Or something closer to the heart.

Judge for yourself what you
Believe to be poem or prose;
Ignore the critics that ensue

For beauty is what beauty knows
This universally is true
And noticed beauty forever grows.
